Hassan Ali
  

As a multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer and experienced performer, Hassan Ali has a thorough understanding of music and the processes through which it is created, produced and performed. Ali enjoys and thrives at all aspects of music, from conception to fruition, from the initial inspiration to the final performance. His talent and tireless dedication to his art is evident not only in his live performances, but also in his work as a composer and producer. His recent work includes backing tracks for two True Fire instructional guitar DVDs, and bass and vocal parts for composer Eric Kenny's score for the short film, Sex "Ed".

In addition to his personal home studio, where he recorded such songs as Warm Milk and Mega Man, Ali works at K-Sound Studios in Lancaster, PA as an assistant engineer and teaches guitar at Roseville Music. He is actively pursuing a career as a composer and producer for film, television and multimedia while playing with the band, Sonic Lux.

Sonic Lux, is a pop fusion jam band based in Lancaster, PA. Ali plays bass and keys and sings lead vocals while also composing much of the band’s music. Along with guitarist Trey Alexander and drummer Woody Campbell, Sonic Lux has amassed a loyal following since its inception in 2002. They perform regularly at venues in southeastern Pennsylvania and along the east coast.

Sonic Lux released a demo album in 2003 and plans to release an album in the fall of 2007 that will highlight their synergy as a band as well as their individual skills.

Before joining Sonic Lux, Ali released a full-length original album, in 2001, with Trey Alexander and drummer Ryan Bencak. In 2005, Ali moved to Nashville, Tennessee and joined Hang the DJ, a rifle pop band with whom he played bass and keys and provided back-up vocals along with guitarist and lead vocalist Colin Deibler and drummer and vocalist Alex Wash. The band also released an album.

A true musical maestro, Hassan Ali continues to explore various multimedia outlets through which he can express his innovative ideas and bring his music to audiences worldwide. His live performances, recorded albums and studio work represent not only what Ali has accomplished thus far, but also what he will develop in the future as a musician, producer and composer.
